James Doohan has died at the age of 85. I guess there comes a time when that old stand-by, 'She canna take anymore, Captain,' applies to us all.

Thank you for standing for hope and the future, and for continuing to be one of the brightest lights in the fandom that started it all, Jimmy. Your presence on ST, at conventions, and in the public in general had a great impact on so many spirits and attitudes. I know everyone whose lives you touched will mourn your passing.

You will be missed, Scotty.
